Prediction of Technology Trends in 2018

Background
The development of technology in this era is very fast. Every year there can be new technology created by humans. Based on the 3 sources I found, there will be some technology trends that will occur in 2018.
In 2018, AI (Artificial Intelligence) will continue to be developed. One of them is a robot, robots can help humans in various sectors. In the health sector, the robot can assist doctors in surgery, at least down to the middle operation. In South Korea there are many hospitals that use robotic surgery on a regular basis. In performing the operation, the team of doctors should not make mistakes, so the use of this robot is very useful because the robot is tireless and can work on an activity without error because it has been programmed in such a way.
AI robot can also be used in the military sector, for example is an insect robot used for spying. In my opinion, for Indonesia, these insect robots can be used on border areas and can also spy on criminals. Development of AI can also be done in other fields. Technology associated with  AI (Artificial Intelligence) will also evolve and become trends, such as Smart Apps. Every smart device like smartphones, laptops, and other smart devices will be followed by smart apps that use Artificial Itelligence chipsets. This Smart App will make it easier for users to perform an activity. Before there is a smart application, doing an activity takes a long time or requires many processes to achieve results, then with this smart application users can save time and speed up the process to achieve maximum results.
With Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence developers must also develop the technology's security. If there is no security technology then there will be many disadvantaged parties. For example, there are cyber criminals who will use Artificial Intelligence technology to carry out attacks on smart devices and Internet of Things devices. If the devices already attacked by cyber criminals, then the owner of this device can be very disadvantaged for example cyber criminals extort money the owner of the device. One of its security technologies is the Continuous Adaptive Risk and Trust Assessment (CARTA). The security level of this artificial intelligence can even monitor and analyze security within a fraction of a second before the attack.
The more technology users who use the internet will be more and more data. Cloud Computing may no longer be able to accommodate all of the data. Then the required development of Cloud Computing Edge Computing. Computing. Edge computing is a method of optimizing cloud computing systems by performing data processing at the edge of the network, near the source of the data. This reduces the communications bandwidth needed between sensors and the central datacenter by performing analytics and knowledge generation at or near the source of the data. This approach requires leveraging resources that may not be continuously connected to a network such as laptops, smartphones, tablets and sensors. Edge computing covers a wide range of technologies including wireless sensor networks, mobile data acquisition, mobile signature analysis, cooperative distributed peer-to-peer ad hoc networking and processing also classifiable as local cloud/fog computing and grid/mesh computing, dew computing, mobile edge computing, cloudlet, distributed data storage and retrieval, autonomic self-healing networks, remote cloud services, augmented reality, and more.
In another sector, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality have been popular since early 2017. In the end of 2017, Mixed Reality technology is created. Microsoft created Microsoft HoloLens with Mixed Reality technology. In 2018 it may be Mixed Reality will be more popular because Mixed Reality is a combination of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.
I think the technology that will become a trend and growing rapidly in the year 2018 is Artificial Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence is very useful for users because it can save time, speed up the process, and simplify the user. With these positive effects then many people who want technology Artificial Intelligence and of course more and more developers. And technology to secure Artificial Intelligence is definitely needed to protect the Artificial Intelligence from attacks of cyber criminals. Then the security technology will be a trend in 2018 as well.
While Mixed Reality technology in my opinion will be a trend for people who have economies above average. Because Mixed Reality devices are not sold cheaply.
